We are currently accepting resumes for the position of Assistant Director of Safety.
This position will assist the Director of Safety's execution of the aviation and ground safety program requirements of the Fort Novosel Rotary Wing Flight Training Contract.
To be considered for this position an applicant must meet all of the following qualifications and skill requirements:
Must have a Bachelor degree in Education, Aviation, Management, Business, or Safety.
Be a graduate of any DOD course in aircraft accident prevention and investigation, and must have knowledge of US Army, OSHA and FAA safety policies.
Have experience in managing aviation accident/mishap prevention programs.
Be able to speak and write English effectively.
Be able to make presentations and communicate effectively with large and small, diverse audiences.
Demonstrate skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include: creating MS Word and Excel documents, creating PowerPoint presentations, using MS Publisher and MS Access database.
Be able to establish effective, cooperative, professional working relationships with Company and customer management.
Be a self-starter who can establish and maintain an effective aviation and ground safety program with minimal supervision.
Possess a valid Driver's License or be able to obtain one prior to employment.
*Highly desirable additional skills and experience:
Recent safety management or oversight experience with Fort Novosel Flight Training.
Have a working knowledge of OSHA regulations/standards.
Have possessed FAA commercial pilot and flight instructor certificate, or be a graduate of any DOD instructor pilot course.
Have a minimum of 1500 hours experience in rotary wing aircraft with 500 hours experience as a flight instructor.
